Speaking in Machakos town, Mwala sub-county CCU party chairperson Raphael Nzuki stated that more women in leadership and stalled projects will be acquired.

"Women and youth should be ready to vote in leaders like Wavinya Ndeti who has a clean track record as Kathiani sub-county was leading in developments during Ndeti's term," said Nzuki.

Nzuki, however, stated that women have in the past failed to acquire leadership positions following lack of support by both their counterparts and the youth.

"Residents of Machakos should elect another governor in 2017 to ensure that all the development projects are completed," he added.

Wavinya Ndeti is the leader of the Chama Cha Uzalendo CCU political party. Ndeti has been a great critic of Dr Alfred Mutuas' governance stating that the current Machakos County government is marred by corruption.

"My legislature in Kathiani stand up to date even with the little money I used to receive as CDF, therefore, am sure with the amount of money issued to the governor I would do much more development, " said Ndeti in a past event.
