Ndeti, who is eyeing Machakos gubernatorial seat, said her party was keen to work with the alliance ahead of this year’s elections.

Her party’ decision to join NASA makes CCU the fifth major party to show interest after ODM, Wiper Democratic Movement, Ford Kenya and Amani National Congress expressed their interest.

“I have joined CORD/NASA leaders at a political meeting at the Bomas of Kenya to advance the idea of National Unity under the opposition parties in Kenya,” she wrote on her Facebook page after the rate opposition meeting on Wednesday.

“Chama Cha Uzalendo (CCU) party will work with CORD parties to form the National Super Alliance,” added Ndeti, whose party sponsored Makueni governor Kivutha Kibwana in 2013 elections.

Ndeti is expected to face a tough opposition from incumbent Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua who has since ditched Wiper Democratic Movement for Maendeleo Chap Chap party.
