NASA head of strategy David Ndii has gotten some backing over his claims that the country should split.
On Tuesday, he said that some parts of the country that are allied to the opposition coalition outfit should secede because they have been mistreated and subjugated by successive regimes that use their ethnic numerical strength to ascend to leadership.
However, on Wednesday political analyst Schaffer Okore said that Ndii should not be bashed over his calls insisting that some Kenyans were clearly hurting and should be given an opportunity for self-determination.
"It is obvious that some section of the country is hurting, David Ndii is speaking on their behalf and he should not be bashed. If we cannot have an honest conversation in this country over leadership matters then we are staring at a crisis," she said.
Her sentiments were echoed by another political analyst Richard Bosire who also averred that it is time the country holds an honest conversation on elective issues instead of frowning upon secession calls spearheaded by the political economist.
"It is a time we had an honest conversation instead of burying up our heads in the sand whenever the call for secession comes up.This call is as genuine as the feelings of most of those who yearn for it", he said.
