Speaking to the press at Machakos town on Saturday, Ndile said that Musyoka as the experienced leader in the region must unite others.

He observed that personal interests, war and conflict among elected leaders in the region threaten peace and development of Ukambani.

“I want to urge my brother Kalonzo Musyoka to use his political experience and expertise to unite Ukambani leaders and residents,” said Ndile.

The TIP TIP leader said that wrangles among leaders in the counties will hinder development agenda.

The former MP cited Makueni County noting that wrangles among its leaders could have been tackled earlier. Ndile said that elected leaders have the responsibility to preach and embrace unity.

The former lawmaker said that leaders must be responsible if they expect to be re-elected in the coming general elections.

Meanwhile, Ndile has refuted claims that he is defecting from the opposition side to Jubillee Alliance Party (JAP).

Ndile said that his appointment to the Water Regulatory Board does not mean that he has deflected to the government.

He said he remains a member of the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) but will work with the government on national matters.

The former MP was appointed to the Water board by President Uhuru Kenyatta in the parastatals appointments made last week.
