Former Kibwezi West MP Kalembe Ndile has asked NASA politicians to desist from acts of lawlessness to avoid plunging the country into anarchy.
Kalembe warned the Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka against taking oath as the "Peoples' deputy President."
He addressed the press in Machakos town on Wednesday.
“As a well trained lawyer, I expect Kalonzo to understand that there cannot be two presidents in Kenya, the lawfully elected head of state had been legitimately inaugurated and issued the instruments of power," said Ndile.
Ndile said opposition leaders should rein in their supporters who have been exerting pressure on them to be sworn in.
“I also urge President Uhuru Kenyatta to rise up and take charge so as to ensure the country does not get to civil violence,” Ndile said.
The former MP told opposition leaders to stop accusing the police of ‘harassment’, arguing their actions had been inviting action from state authorities.
