2008 Kenya Premier League (KPL) Champions Mathare United have signed winger Samuel Ndung'u.
The player has joined the Slum boys from KPL heavyweights AFC Leopards on a two year deal.
He is expected to fill the void left by Harrison Mwendwa for the Francis Kimanzi led side. Ndung'u is expected to provide further options on the flanks.
"I am happy to join Mathare United because I know I will get more playing time here. I am a big admirer of coach (Francis) Kimanzi and I am looking forward to learn a lot from him. My target is to regain my form and score as many goals as possible here," Ndung'u is quoted on Mathare United face book page.
Twenty five year old Ndung’u previously played for Nzoia United, Timsales FC and Muhoroni Youth.
He becomes the fourth signing for Mathare for the current transfer window ahead of 2018 KPL season scheduled to kick off next month.
Other players who have so far joined Mathare United are: Job Ochieng, Gilbert Osonga and Francis Omondi.
Mathare United finished position 13th on the log in the 2017 KPL season with 40 points, ahead of Chemelil Sugar, Nakumatt FC, Thika United and the relegated duo of Western Stima and Muhoroni Youth FC respectively.
