Parents, teachers and administration of Nduru boys high school have a reason to smile after a local businessman donated 100 beds after a fire burnt down two of their dormitories few weeks ago.
According to the businessman Evans Moracha, he felt ashamed after the school hit headlines with students sleeping on the floor after the fire tragedy and that's why he chipped in to help and called upon the government and other well-wishers to come on board.
“The school has been in the area for a while and it's shameful that we can’t see even leaders coming in to help the school where children were forced to sleep on the floor for lacking beds that anyone can donate or be bought by the government,” said Moracha.
According to the school principal Erastus Ondieki, they are looking forward to receiving more funds from the government so that they can construct a dormitory that can accommodate all students before the schools are open.
“We want the government and education officials to ensure that we receive the money that we were promised before the schools were closed so that we can construct the dormitories,” said Ondieki.
