Thika Member of Parliament Alice Ng’ang’a has called the needy bright students who did not benefit from the previous Thika Education Trust Fund to start applying for the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).

The Member of Parliament said that the application forms are available in her office and the needy students who did not benefit should visit her office to get the forms.

“The application forms are in my office and all the needy students should come to my office to apply for the same,” Alice said.

The CDF fund which has arrived early December is set to boost the students for the oncoming term next year to benefit the needy children in Thika west constituency.

More than 280 needy students benefited from the previous Education Trust Fund where 17 of them benefited fully as their fees will be paid until they graduate.

The MP had earlier said that 18 million had been set aside for the needy bright students but she only disbursed kshs.4 million to kick start the project which she says it been a success project.

The legislator added that come on February; she will again disburse the remaining sum of money for the Education Trust Fund in her constituency which she say is totally different from the CDF money.

“My Education Trust Fund is totally different from the CDF, thus when I finish distributing the CDF, I will again avail the Trust Fund,” she said.

She has urged the residents of Thika constituency to avail application forms to pinch the bursary which the National government has bestowed to them.

The law maker has vowed to support education citing the oncoming Thika Girl School which will be opened comes February when she will disburse the remaining Education Trust Fund.
