Lawyer Nelson Havi has shown his dissatisfaction in the way the Immigration Department has handled allegations that he lied to the Court.
According to Havi, the Immigration Department is misappropriating taxes by tweeting and retweeting 'nonsense' about him on embattled Miguna Miguna's Canadian passport drama.
"Shame on you @ImmigrationDept for misappropriation of our taxes to tweet and retweet nonsense about me, on a matter in respect of which you have been sued by Miguna Miguna and have proffered no credible response. What a useless department of GoK. Shame!" tweeted Havi on Monday.
However, in affidavit filed by his lawyers, Miguna argued that his Canadian passport had been confiscated by the government and in fact that is why he was stranded at the Dubai airport.
Havi has been on the receiving end on allegations that he had lied to the Court in the sworn affidavit and Kenyans have called him out for the lie which the Immigration Department has been retweeting. Some of the retweets include:
Dennis Itumbi, HSC @OleItumbi
So Wakili @NelsonHavi lied under Oath? MIGUNA - LAWYER NELSON HAVI LIED UNDER OATH10. "....The Respondents have unlawfully seized the Petioner's Canadian Passport in a clear attempt to have him declared stateless and continue to violate his fundamental rights and freedoms
