Renowned city lawyer Nelson Havi now says that he has taken over as the political kingpin of the Western region.
In a tweet Saturday, the opposition coalition National Super Alliance (NASA) legal representative said that he has been tasked with the responsibility of dethroning Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader and his Ford Kenya counterpart Moses Wetangula who are currently deemed the biggest political figures in the region.
Havi who did not, however, reveal the person whom orders he is following, maintained that he will be the man to watch from the region from now going forward.
''As the Military Commander of the Western Command, I have been tasked to disarm Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula and take over leadership. That is how it shall be, henceforth,'' he tweeted.
Havi's remarks come only a day after the opposition supremo Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta's political reconciliation.
The move, however, was not received well by both Mudavadi and Wetangula, who claimed that they were not notified or invited to the meeting which was held in Uhuru's Harambee House offices in Nairobi despite being opposition stakeholders.
The two, alongside Wiper Party boss and NASA second-in-command Kalonzo Musyoka have since announced that they will convene a meeting on Monday to evaluate the development.
