Former North Mugirango legislator Wilfred Ombui has urged Cord leader Raila Odinga not to cry foul again over elections following the planned exit of current IEBC commissioners.
While welcoming the new IEBC reforms championed by Odinga, Ombui stated that the opposition should learn to have trust in independent commissions by appreciating the roles they play.
“I am happy that the electoral body has been reformed following complaints by Odinga. He has been undermining constitutional commissions by picking fights with them and I am happy that they have accepted to leave office," said Ombui.
Ombui while speaking to this writer on Tuesday, accused the opposition leader of misleading the nation every time decisions of Kenyans go against him.
“This time round we cannot allow her to cry foul over alleged stolen election because he has never won an election. He always misleads the country about this thing called rigging and I just urge him to watch the space in 2017,” he said.
He further said that the Jubilee government will be re-elected based due to good performance in education, agriculture, energy, and infrastructure adding that the opposition had nothing to offer to the country.
“He must be ready for another defeat because we don’t rig elections. The government has done a lot especially in the education and infrastructure sector," added Ombui.
