( Photo/file DNG)Tech far has launched the second local online taxi hailing platform which seeks to lure drivers by charging them a flat rate instead of commission earnings charged by Uber.The platform has been dubbed ShareCab which will charge sh2,000 per driver every month as opposed to Uber where commission from the total earnings is charged.The platform will also allow passengers heading in the right direction to share a taxi.The platform charges a lone rider sh30 per kilometer,sh4 per minute and a base fare of sh.100.Shortest ride will cost sh250.only the base minimum will be shared amongst the passengers. " My motivation has to create a platform where cost can be drastically reduced for customers in combination that was smart." Said Virscom founder and CEO Mwakio Ngale."At the end of the day, every shared ride will make a better environment for our kids," he added.ShareCab is available on Google play store with many options for the customers. A customer can choose who to share a ride with and also vet those who have requested for a ride. The app also has a panic button for customers who feel that their lives are in danger.
