Moments after President Uhuru Kenyatta named part of his new cabinet, Kenyans have come out questioning about a name that was conspicuously absent - Ababu Namwamba.
Many had expected that the former Budalangi MP would be among President Uhuru Kenyatta's favourite candidates for a cabinet slot after ditching ODM to join Jubilee under his Labour Party.
They took to Twitter to air their curiosity.
"I didn't hear Ababu Namwamba's name in the newly appointed cabinet list. What's not happening?" asked Ayub Adan.
"Unless Ababu Namwamba is mentioned as a CS, I'm going to LMFAO," said Edu Amnsty.
"So Ababu Namwamba and Eugene Wamalwa are both jobless after going against the wish of the Mulembe nation," asked Davis Mutali.
Austin Msamali asked: "Where is Ababu Namwamba? Where is Paul Otuoma? Uhuru will appoint them chairmen in nonfunctional state entities like ADC. It's none of my business but unfortunately, I am the only contact their villagers have in Nairobi. I'm asking for them."
Jarvis Nguyo said: "Someone check on Ababu Namwamba. This year we promised we will be brothers keepers."
"I'll wish to watch Ababu Namwamba speak on TV, once President Kenyatta is through with Cabinet appointments. Waiting anxiously," Masibili James said.
The lawyer's last activity on Twitter was on January 2 where he posted about hope and his New Year resolutions.
"Stride into the New Year with full confidence. Abandon all the debris, baggage and garbage of the past in 2017. Be happy. You are alive! Get fulfilled. Blessed 2018 good people," he twitted.
