A new contractor has begun renovation works at the Nakuru county assembly chambers days after MCAs protested delays in completing the works.
The county assembly was forced to revoke the tender which had been issued to another contractor after he abandoned the works.
A fortnight ago, angry MCAs protested against what they termed as unconducive working environment.
Speaker Joel Kairu was forced to step in and clam the MCAs.
According to Speaker Kairu, the new chamber will be one of the most modern chambers in the country.
