The public service board of Kisii county has now urged all newly employed workers to ensure that they submit a copy of their resignation letters from their previous jobs before commencing their jobs.

In an internal memo posted on Monday morning in all county notice boards the workers were given 24 hours to do so or else an action will be taken.

However, according to the county human resource officer Irene Kibagendi the move is aimed at ensuring that all the newly employed officials don't have another job as that has been a case witnessed in the past.

"We expect them to offer resignation letters but that will only apply to those who had another job before being employed by the county public service board and this will see us enhance service delivery," she said.

The county recently employed new staff including new cabinet executives.
