Three Vice Chancellors have been appointed to office at Maseno University this December.
The appointees include Prof Mary J. Kipsat, Prof Joseph Sarima Chacha and Prof Catherine Akinyi Muhoma.
Prof Kipsat is appointed the next Deputy Vice Chancellor (DVC Academic and Student Affairs). She is an associate professor of Agricultural Economics and Resource Management. She is the immediate former dean of the school of Business and Economics at Moi University where she served for two terms.
In addition, she served as the Head of Department of Agricultural Economics and Resource Management since 2004.
She holds a Bachelor of Science Agriculture degree, Masters in Agricultural Economics and Resource Management and a PHD in Agricultural Economics and Resource Management.
Partnership, Research and Innovation will be headed by Prof Chacha who holds a degree in Education (science), Masters of Science (Chemistry) and a PHD in Electrochemistry. He has served in several managerial positions at Maasai Mara University, Narok University College then, Egerton University-Kisii campus and JKUAT.
Prof Muhoma is the next DVC Administration, Finance and Development. She has been acting in the same capacity until she was appointed to the position in early December.
She holds a bachelor degree in Education Arts, Master of Arts in Literature and a PHD in African Literature.
The three have already assumed office.
