Over 40 trucks have been unveiled by Nairobi county executive for environment Emma Muthoni to help in the clean-up exercise of the county from Friday.
“This clean-up exercise is a climax of what we have been doing and this will continue until we achieve a city which is free of garbage,” said Muthoni.
Muthoni says more dustbins will be placed around different wards to ensure garbage is collected and anyone found dumping garbage illegally will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
There has been an uproar from city residents over the filthy state of the city due to dumping on the major streets and estates.
Muthoni assured that she will work tirelessly to ensure that the city is clean.
