It is now official that French firm OT Morpho has requested for more time to reconfigure the Kenya Integrated Electronic Management System (KIEMS) meaning it will be impossible to have the repeat polls on October 17 as earlier announced by IEBC.

Due to the technicality, Morpho has requested the Commission to push the polls to October 26.

"Since Morpho gave its oral presentations, the talk of a change of election date has gained traction in the commission but is yet to become a substantive agenda. IEBC will meet on Monday to discuss the six-page report," said a source within IEBC.

According to Newspaper, possible date for repeat polls could fall between October 24, 26, and 30.

Morpho said they have to reconfigure the KIEMS to ensure only two names appear on the kits, namely President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA candidate Raila Odinga.

NASA coalition has been contesting the election date and also wants OT Morpho out of the process.
