Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has said that the new education system will accommodate all talents.

According to Matiang’i, the new education system; 2-6-3-3-3 will help nurture talents unlike the current system which is exam oriented.

“As the ministry, we are aware that the new system will accommodate all students more especially those who are talented.”

“For instance. we have students who are talented in other areas other than being in the class for many years, this system will give them an equal opportunity,” Matiang’i said.

The CS who was speaking on Monday morning during a radio interview on Egesa FM said they have put measures in place on how they will adapt to the system once it is rolled out, but was quick to note that the ministry has selected some schools for piloting.

At the same time, the CS said the ministry is keen on implementing reforms to make the sector better.
