President Uhuru Kenyatta launched the Sh327 billion phase one of the modern rail transport system, the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) in Mombasa, Wednesday.

During the official opening of the Mombasa Terminal, Uhuru was joined by national and government leaders, dignitaries, diplomats and Kenyans from all walks of life for the inaugural ride on the train dubbed, Madaraka Express.
