AFC Leopards technical bench has today named 19-man squad which will lock horns with FOSA Juniors of Madagascar on Wednesday this week in the return fixture of CAF Confederation Cup.
The team, led by Head Coach Robert Matano, include 10 new signings which were acquired by the club during January Kenya Premier League(KPL) transfer window.
The newcomers include are Moses Mburu, Jeffery Owiti, Brian Marita, Joseph Kuria, Collins Okoth, Ezekiel Owade, Ezekiel Odera, Jairus Adira, Yusuf Mainge, Isaac Oduor and Lukooya BakerOthers are Gabriel Andika, Whyvonne Isuzza, Michael Kibwage, Dennis Sikhayi, Robinson Kamura, Victor Majid, Duncan Otieno and Vincent Oburu.
The team was given a break from KPL matches this weekend so as to give them adequate time to prepare for their continental tie.
In the first leg played on 11th this month at Machakos stadium, Ingwe was forced to settle for a 1-1 draw, a result which will force them to work harder in the return leg.
For the Leopards to qualify for the next round of the tournament, they will have to either force a superior goal draw on Wednesday or win the match.
However, if they fail to score, they will crush out of the tournament on away goal rule.The Club is expected to travel to Madagascar today, Monday.
Their allies, Gor Mahia, won their CAF Champions league fixture against Leones Vegetarionos 2-0 and they will be hoping to seal the victory in their return match against Equatorial Guinea’s side.
