When Betway's 20 million jackpot was won, no one expected that 63-year old Joseph Onywera would be the new millionaire in town.
But that is the case and the man has decided to transform his life.
The once poor man who could not fend for his family is building a two-bedroomed brick house for himself has built a house for his son, has acquired electricity and has also fenced his home with a chain-link fence.
He has also built a modern gate for his compound.
The man has decided to marry another wife after his first wife left him because he could not fend for his family.
Constant calls by his estranged wife to take her back have only fallen on deaf ears.
Mr Onywera claims the money he won is going to help turn his life around and since the estranged wife refused to bare it all with him when he was broke, then he will never accept her back in his life.
Onywera does not take alcohol and he vows to never use his money in unnecessary expenditure that will only lead to depletion of his cash.
The soft spoken man is also set to engage in real estate business with his land in Manyatta Estate in Kisumu.
