[Photo|IEBC]IEBC chairman Wafula Cebukati has unveiled six officials, that he had named last month, to oversee fresh elections, after the Supreme Court nullified Augst 8 presidential election on September 1st.The officials include Marjan Hussein Marjan who is the Project Coordinator; David Towet who will be in charge of Operations; Dr Sidney Namulungu who will be the head of tallying centres; and Agatha Wahome who will be in charge of Finance, Procurement and Administration.Others include: Salome Oyugi who will be in charge of Legal and Compliance; Tabitha Mutemi, head of Communications and Outreach; Albert Gogo - Head of Elections Technology.Basing on the list, Chebukati left out CEO Ezra Chiloba, who was in charge of elections, in the August elections.It is not yet clear which role Chiloba will or not play in the fresh polls, given that he is embattled.The National Super Alliance wants him dismissed from Office for allegedly mismanaging the election which was nullified.Speaking during a four day national training of 700 Returning Officers and Deputy Returning Officers for the polls in Nairobi, Chebukati said he had pledged to do some changes at the IEBC secretariat, thus the team.He defended the Commission, saying some of the issues raised by the Opposition had been addressed and that there was still room, for more negotiations.During training of the ROs and their deputies from all the 47 counties, Friday, Chebukati called on NASA to stop its countrywide demonstrations, and give room for discussions.
