Makongeni Chief Daniel Waiguru has given a stern warning to boys in Makongeni against indulging in alcohol or any other drug.
Waiguru has also warned bars and pubs against selling alcohol to the underage saying that those who will defy will face the full force of the law.
"In December holidays there has been a habit of young boys especially those who just got circumcised indulging in alcohol. This time round we will comb every bar and pub and anyone found selling alcohol to these minors will face our wrath," Waiguru said on Tuesday.
Parents have also been cautioned against taking their underage children to drinking joints or organising drinking parties at their homes.
"We are saying that even parents should not expose their kids to alcohol whether at home or when out for a ride," he added.
The Chief also noted that Mututho rules will apply as usual in as far as opening and closing hours are concerned plus all the other regulations.
"During the holidays the bars should open earliest at 2pm and close at 11pm. That remains the law and contravening it will be met by repercussions," Waiguru said.
