New Milimani Sacco has announced plans to open a branch in Thika town.
The branch will be the second one in Kiambu County after opening another one in Githunguri recently.
This comes even as the Sacco announced a growth of asset base from 1billion last year to 1.5billion this year.
The Sacco Chairman Rev.Julius Wambugu said that the Sacco which targets the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) sector has been able to expand rapidly to almost every county as a result of aggressive marketing.
"This is a remarkable trend-breaking achievement. The institution has continued to grow following our investment in a robust Information Technology (IT) system and marketing strategy," Wambugu told journalists in Thika town.
Wambugu further revealed that on April the Sacco will announce dividends to its more than 45,000 members at 22.5 percent.
"This is the third consecutive year we are giving members divided at this rate," noted Wambugu.
He expressed satisfaction with the Sacco's performance as well as optimism in the time to come.
"Having achieved most of our goals we now have a strategic plan for the next four years and we are optimistic of achieving all the projected goals," said Wambugu.
