President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday witnessed the swearing in ceremony of the incoming Director General of the National Youth Service (NYS) at State House Mombasa.
Former permanent secretary Ethan Richard Ndubai will take over the post following the resignation of the former Director General Nelson Githinji, over allegations of corruption which rocked the institution.
Dr Githinji resigned to pave way for investigation into alleged claims of conspiracy to defraud, fraudulent acquisition of property, as well as abuse of office.
The Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) also recommended prosecution of the personal assistant to the Director General Nicholas Juma Makokha, former Senior Superintended Mechanic at NYS Geoffrey Kimani Kiriha and Chief Inspector of NYS.
