On Monday, Transline Service managing director Evans Omoi said their vehicles will move from the main stage to Mwembe suburb where their new stage has been concluded.

He said the move to establish a new stage was triggered by congestion in the main stage that he attributed to increased investment in the matatu sector.

“By the end of this week we will have move to our new stage. We purchased the land solely to relocate from town given the limited space for parking that is inconveniencing our esteemed customers,” Omoi said.

“We were not coerced by any forces hence was purely our decision. The construction process commenced mid last year and we are happy in has concluded,” he added.

He, however, said the main booking offices will remain in town and that the company will provide a vehicle that will transport customers to the new stage on a daily basis.

“There should be no fear at all since our booking office remains in the same place. We will provide a vehicle that will traffic those who would have booked to the new stage,” Omoi said.

The move was welcome by town residents, with most describing it as ‘phenomenal’ since it would reduce the traffic congestion menace.
