Deputy President William Ruto has withdrawn an appeal where he was contesting the court verdict for him to pay Mr Adrian Muteshi Sh5 million.

In the case, Muteshi accused Ruto of unlawfully acquiring his 100 hectares of land in Uashin Gishu county.

The court ruled in favor of Muteshi who was a victim of post election violence and ordered the DP to pay Sh5 million as compensation.

However, the DP contested the verdict saying paying the Sh5 million compensation will cause him irreparable damages.
