As political battles in the country continue, the National Super Alliance has added a new demand.

NASA now want that the roles of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) be devolved to counties.

They also want revisiting of the Bomas draft constitution’s parliamentary system as well as setting up a tribunal that will probe the disputed August 8 election.

NASA said that the electoral commission should be devolved so that every county conducts its own election, including that of the president.

“A small club of people is holding on to power to satisfy individual interests at the expense of taxpayers,” said NASA chief campaigner Musalia Mudavadi.

He said the coalition will not relent on pushing for reforms in a bid to restore electoral justice.

“Kenya must have a leadership that respects the rule of law, promotes electoral justice and has the interests of Kenyans at heart,” Mudavadi said in an interview.
