The newly elected Health Facility Management Committees (HFMCs) have pledged to work hand in hand with health workers, partners and stakeholders to provide quality healthcare to residents at the dispensaries within Mvita Sub County.
This is after the election exercise for Mvita Sub County clocked to a close Friday evening. Residents and community stakeholders from Shimanzi/Ganjoni ward flocked KPA Scout Guide Shimanzi Hall to participate in the election.
Officers from the County department of health attached to the facilities and Sub County Administration have been conducting the elections.
Among the qualities that were looked for in the committee members were that they should be of sound mind, have leadership skills, represent a special interest group, know how to read and write and be resident of the ward where the facility is located.
The elected members on Friday were:Railway Dispensary - Neema Omar, Veronica Obanda, Omollo Hamisi, Alice Mautu, Zilpha Ugoh and Japheth Munupi.
