Speaking in her Thika office on Monday, Ng’ang’a said that people should not tarnish parliamentarians' names by accepting and demanding bribes and go unpunished.

She said that they are waiting for the National Assembly Speaker to say something regarding the matter and so waiting for the report.

Ng’ang’a said that those involved in those alleged corruption deals and acts should be investigate and if found guilty should be punished and quit their positions.

She also said that those who wait until when their position is at stake to threaten the rest with something which they have kept for themselves for a long time should not be left when others are being fired.

“MPs who accept bribes are tainting our names to the public. People elected us to work, fight and protect their property and some of us go ahead asking for bribes for their greed and own self interest. Such MPs should not be holding sensitive positions in government,” said Nganga.

Ng’ang’a said that corruption is corruption be it in church, parliament or homes, it is a crime adding that, “We should be told what was received as bribe and how much was received and who received it.”

Ng’ang’a concluded that they we will make sure, as MPs, that they get rid of those who are corrupt in the Commission and replace them with those who can work.
