Machakos Police on Friday morning arrested a middle aged man found in possesion of 35 rolls of bhang in Kaloleni village.
Confirming the incidence, Ngelani location chief Martin Muumbe said the man works in a butchery in Kaloleni and he is suspected to be selling bhang to school-going kids.
The chief told the press that the arrest was conducted after a tip off from members of the public.
“We were notified that the man had received bhang supply, I together with the police moved swiftly and nabbed him before he could escape," Muumbe said.
Muumbi warned residents that whoever will be found culpable of selling or peddling drugs will be ‘deported' from the area.
“Not in Ngelani location as long as I'm the chief.Drug dealers won't have a place here," he added.
The man is currently held at Machakos police station awaiting arraignment in court after investigations are complete.
