Yohanna Ng’eno says he will work with like-minded leaders from Rift Valley to lock Deputy President William Ruto out of vote rich South Rift region. The DP has persistently maintained that the region remains a Jubilee Party stronghold despite resistance from a section of leaders.

But the Emurua Dikir MP insists that the South Rift region was ‘tired’ with Jubilee government and would vote overwhelmingly for their ideal presidential candidate.

“I don’t think Ruto should claim a stake in South Rift. I am working with like-minded leaders to ensure Jubilee is locked out of this region,” he told his supporters in Kilgoris on Wednesday.

He added: “They have been promising us development but instead we are seeing dictatorship and unnecessary wrangles. Let them wait for a harsh challenge.”

Ng’eno alongside Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto and Baringo senator Gideon Moi have been spearheading onslaught against the DP’s leadership.

The youthful MP has in the past attended a number of rallies with opposition leader Raila Odinga.
