Ngewa Ward MCA Karungo Thang'wa has threatened to take a legal action against Kiambu Governor William Kabogo over claims that he defamed his name in a past public function.
Thang'wa, a fierce critic of the governor said that Kabogo was not right in claiming that he is under the payroll of his rivals to demand that the governor relocates to the county headquarters in Kiambu town.
Speaking in Kiambu town on Monday, Thang'wa demanded that the governor apologises publicly or they meet in the corridors of justice.
"I was shocked to hear the governor say that some other MCAs and I have been paid to tell him to move to Kiambu County headquarters in 14 days. It is not the case," said Thang'wa.
"What he should know is that I am not a jukebox that has to be fed coins to 'talk'. I talk because I know why I was elected," added Thangwa.
He warned that he is not in the calibre of leaders who are paid to make noise in public and vowed to continue fighting for his electorates’ rights.
