Residents of Ngewa community have expressed their heartfelt support after conducting a fundraiser aiding a widow whose house was gutted with fire few weeks ago.
The source of fire is yet unknown that consumed Mama Wangui Kinangai home beyond recognition that led the area MCA Karugo wa Thang’wa and community to pledge support to the single mother.
The Mitahato village availed in large and the widow could not hide her joy seeing the promises made by the MCA was finally coming to reality and the dream of having a home was now evident and vivid enough.
Karugo who was speaking in the village on Sunday expressed his happiness with the spirit of brotherhood the village have and urged them never to tire since Ngewa ward wants to live like a family.
He said that he will move to all the villages in Ngewa and Mitahato was the first village then Kwamaiko area to make sure they have raised enough funds to erect a modern home for mama Wangui.
The legislator had earlier donated beddings to the affected mother and bought a set of uniform to her son last week and promised to support the family until they are settled.
Meanwhile, Wangui expressed his gratitude to the legislator and said that it is not an obvious thing to be helped by the politician but it all required the grace of God.
She said that she can now see hope which was in despair and believes the sun will rise again and his only son will still get the education depending on the help the Ngewa ward community has shown.
The residents managed to raise a total of Shs. 100,000.
