Kitui county governor Charity Ngilu has asked NGOs to help her push her development agenda for the benefit of county constituents.

According to Ngilu, NGOs should help her administration to deliver tangible results in water, health and fighting hunger.

"I urge NGOs to partner with the county government to provide the needs our people want such as water, food and proper medical care," she said.

Ngilu said she is ready to work with the civil society groups to develop the county and eradicate poverty among the county locals.

She emphasized the need for the civil society to add value to fighting poverty by getting their development priorities right.

"Working as a team with all stakeholders will help eradicate poverty and improve the livelihoods of our people," she added.
