Former Lands Cabinet Secretary Charity Ngilu has urged the Cord coalition leadership to incorporate women.
Ngilu who was speaking on Friday said that the leadership should head to Ukambani because the region has capable women who can join the Cord leadership.
''You as Cord leaders must remember women, add some women in the coalition,we have women here who are ready to play that role,'' said Ngilu.
She was speaking during the burial of former Kathiani lawmaker Wavinya Ndeti's husband in Machakos.
It is alleged that Ngilu is among the leaders targetted by Cord to consolidate the Ukambani region vote ahead of the next general election.
Last week Cord leader Raila Odinga had hinted that more leaders will be joining Cord in the coming days.
