Former Lands Minister Charity Ngilu has said that she is ready to work with incumbent Kitui Governor. Dr Julius Malombe.
Ngilu, who is the incoming governor, said that she has nothing personal against Malombe, a Wiper candidate.
Speaking to the Press in Kitui, the newly elected Governor said that he enjoys cordial relationship with Malombe, adding that she has always respected him.
The lawmaker said that she will offer Malombe a job because of the friendship they share with him. "Malombe was a former university lecture. Luckily, in the past, I managed to facilitate the setting up of two universities in Kitui. We will secure him a job in one of the institutions as a lecturer," she said, as quoted by Star.
The lawmaker also said that she is in good terms with Kalonzo. "We have been having a good relationship with him of late and it will continue beyond this election. I campaigned for him and NASA ahead of the election," Ngilu, the Narc leader, added.
Ngilu defied all odds to become the first woman elected governor in Ukambani. The lawmaker had to pitch tents in different areas to beat Malombe and Senator David Musila, an Independent candidate.
