Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has hit out at President Uhuru Kenyatta accusing him of wanting to retain power forcefully.Ngilu alleged that Uhuru and his deputy William Ruto do not want to leave power so as to cover up their misdeeds.Addressing residents during NASA rallies at Mutomo in Kitui on Tuesday, Ngilu said the Jubilee government has been a letdown to Kenyans. She said Kenyans are tired of UhuRuto’s alleged tyranny rule adding that the two must stop forcing themselves on Kenyans.“UhuRuto should know that they no longer appeal to Kenyans and must pave way for a different leadership that will cleanse the atrocities they have committed,” said Ngilu. The Governor said it will be disastrous if UhuRuto will be granted a second term in office.Ngilu defended NASA’s call for election boycott saying it is the only way to can fight impunity. She claimed that Jubilee and the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) have colluded to rig the Thursday repeat poll.Ngilu said NASA’s quest for electoral reforms will not stop adding that they will soldier on until they get rid of impunity and the dictatorial style of leadership. The NARC party leader asked Kitui residents and NASA supporters to boycott the poll, saying there is no need of participating in the election when the process has been flawed to favour Jubilee. The county boss, however, pleaded for peace and unity among Kenyans.
