This is after the first-time county boss accused the lawmaker of working behind scenes to frustrate her government in terms of development.

The governor claimed Nyamai is behind the group 'Tharaka' which has been mudslinging her over different projects.

In a statement released to newsrooms, Ngilu said the Kitui County communication boss Munyasya Musya and one of his juniors had been arrested in a hotel, which she did not mention trying to write negative stories about her government, adding that it is shameful.

“We have cornered and arrested Kitui County communication boss Munyasya Musya and one of his juniors in a hotel writing negative stories against the county government. We have all the reasons to believe that they are the anonymous 'Tharaka' who have been fighting the county government on social media,” read the statement.

The lawmaker has, however, distanced herself from the activities of the group and faulted Ngilu for dragging her name into illegal activities, which she insisted she is not part of.

Nyamai said that she cannot fight Ngilu yet she mentored her to become who she is today.

“I’m not at war with Governor Ngilu and no way can I fight the one who mentored me politically,” she said.
