Narc Party leader Charity Ngilu now says that she will personally lead a Kamba delegation to convince National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principals to endorse Kalonzo as presidential flag bearer.
Speaking during a rally in Emali, Makueni County on Tuesday, Ngilu said that it is time for Kalonzo to be endorsed as the opposition presidential flag bearer.
The former Lands Cabinet Secretary said that Kambas have been loyal to the opposition and its time for the favor to be reciprocated.
Ngilu said that Kambas have waited for a long time adding that it time for one of their own to lead the country.
“I will personally lead a delegation to Raila Odinga, Musalia and Moses Wetangula to convince them to endorse Kalonzo’s candidature,” she said during the rally that was attended by other Kamba politicians allied to Kalonzo.
Ngilu said that Kalonzo has the full backing of the Kamba community.
The former CS said that it is Kalonzo who can send Jubilee government packing in the August 8 polls.
Other Kamba leaders who spoke at the rally vowed to campaign and deliver votes to NASA if Kalonzo is endorsed as flag bearer.
Kalonzo is eyeing the NASA ticket and says that he remains the best candidate to send Jubilee government packing in the August 8, general election.
On Monday Kalonzo said that his age cannot allow him to postpone his presidential bid and asked NASA co-principals to endorse his bid.
