Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has asked President Uhuru Kenyatta’s team campaigning in Ukambani to heed her advice and come back to the Opposition.
Speaking to Kitui Senator David Musila, Ngilu said the Jubilee Party had nothing to offer the Ukambani leaders.
She cautioned Musila that should he not return to the Wiper Party he would risks the chance of a major embarrassment.
“Let Musila come back to the National Super Alliance (NASA) where he truly belongs. As Ukambani leaders we need to back the re-election of our presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka who we believe are in a position to address the problems of our people,” Ngilu said on Tuesday.
According to reports, Musila left the NASA party soon after the general election claiming the Kamba people want to be part of the government.
This saw over 18 NASA politicians pledge their support to President Kenyatta’s re-election and Musila elected the President’s official Ukambani campaign leader.
