Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has promised the residents of her backyard of better healthcare services in the next five years.
According to Daily Nation, the county boss said that all the residents will benefit from high quality and affordable health care during her term in office.
The Narc Kenya leader has said that she has started equipping and refurbishing different healthcare facilities in the county as she seeks to change the lives of the residents following her win against former Governor Julius Malombe of Wiper.
The former Health minister in the Kibaki administration also said that she is committed towards her course, adding that nothing will distract her.
“I am committed to improving all public health centres in Kitui to state-of-the-art standards [which] everyone would prefer visiting for medical services,” Mrs Ngilu said, as quoted by Nation.
She also called upon the doctors in the county to embrace dialogue when it comes to fighting for the rights including job promotion, better working conditions, and remuneration. She further reminded them to feel free whenever they want to visit her office because of different reasons.
“My office is open for you, my phone number is available when needed,” she said when she deployed a team of new 35 specialized medical staff to different health facilities across the county.
