Kitui Governor-elect Charity Ngilu has vowed to work with both losers and winners of the just concluded general election.
Speaking on Sunday, the former Cabinet Secretary asked her predecessor Julius Malombe and David Musila to back her leadership.
"What the county needs now is healing. That is why I'm urging winners and losers in the just ended elections to come together and unite the people," said Ngilu, when she hosted elected MCAs.
She promised to form an all-inclusive government. "My focus now is to bring peace. I am also calling on all leaders to bury their political differences and speak in one voice for the good of our county," she said.
Ngilu urged the MCAs-elect drawn from all parties to serve the residents faithfully.
"We should embrace each other because at this point it doesn’t matter which political vehicle or aircraft you used to get elected, what matters most now is how we work together in a bipartisan way to deliver on our campaign promises and transform people’s lives," Ngilu said.
