A political analyst has termed former Water Minister Charity Ngilu as powerless in the Ukambani region.
In an interview on Citizen TV on Thursday, Professor Edward Kisiangani said that the former Minister has lost her power in the area and no longer has a say in how the Ukambani politics are conducted.
Professor Kisisangani has also said that the area is now largely under the rule of former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka further saying that Ngilu has only herself to blame for the situation.
''Ngilu does not have a say in the Ukambani region and cannot deliver the Kamba vote to any of the top coalitions. This is because she messed it up at a time when she could have solidified her support in the region. She wasted her time going back to Jubilee and Kalonzo used the mistake to his advantage and fortifying himself as the don,'' he said.
''Kalonzo has already taken everything and nothing is left for her," he added.
The Professor further said that Ngilu might also have problems achieving his dream of unseating Kitui Governor Julius Malombe.
''She is weak and will have a problem even winning the Kitui Governor seat that she is eyeing," he said.
Ngilu served under the Jubilee Government as the Lands Cabinet Secretary before she was unceremoniously thrown out amid graft allegations.
