Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has predicted a humiliating loss for president Uhuru Kenyatta in the repeat presidential poll slated for October 26.
Ngilu says that Uhuru will lose to NASA presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga with over three million votes.
According to the former Lands Cabinet Secretary (CS), Uhuru's popularity has dwindled and no longer has the numbers to win an election.
Ngilu notes that UhuRuto's time in government is coming to an end, adding that Kenyans are yearning and ready for change.
"President Uhuru Kenyatta no longer has the numbers and he should brace himself for a humiliating defeat in repeat poll," she said as quoted by the People Daily.
Ngilu claimed that Uhuru was defeated by Odinga in the August 8 presidential election that was nullified by the supreme court.
She criticised UhuRuto's leadership claiming that it has brought nothing to Kenyans but misery.
Ngilu who was sacked as Lands CS by Uhuru's administration in 2015 urged Kenyans to come out in large numbers and vote for change.
The Kitui governor said that the country needs a serious president who will be able to tackle the issues facing Kenyans without discrimination.
She pleaded with Kenyans to remain peaceful as they prepare to vote on October 26.
President Kenyatta will face off again with Odinga in repeat election this month.
Odinga has however threatened to boycott the repeat poll if IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba and other top officials do not resign for allegedly bungling the August 8 presidential poll.
The opposition leader has announced countrywide weekly mass protests to push Chiloba and others out of the electoral commission.
