Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has rewarded two politicians. Ngilu has nominated two politicians who lost their bid to join the National Assembly in the August elections. They are among the 8 executive appointees by Ngilu.

One beneficiary is Wiper’s John Makau. He lost the Mwingi North parliamentary race on a Wiper party ticket. He has been fronted to head the Environment sector in Kitui County. Another politician nominated by the governor is Patrick Musau who lost the Mwingi West MP seat contest on a Narc ticket. He will head the Tourism docket.

The office of the governor released names of the eight on Wednesday with Ngilu slimming her executive to eight from Malombe’s 10. The list has been forwarded to the county assembly for approval.

Others are David Kivoto (Education), Rosaita Ngina (Health), Emmanuel Kisangau (Agriculture), Philip Mumo (Cooperatives), Mary Nguli (Treasury) and Jacob Kakundi (Lands).

Meanwhile, Governor Ngilu pledged to work with MCAs to develop Kitui. She promised to end hunger and empower women among other issues.
