Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has hit out at Mwingi Central MP Gideon Mulyungi telling him she does not need his permission to visit the constituency.

Ngilu said she has every right to visit Mwingi Central whenever she wants.

She addressed the press in Kitui town on Monday.

The governor said she will serve the locals equally since she was elected by all Kitui residents.

“Mulyungi should know that as a governor, I have the mandate to serve all people and I will not at any time seek permission from him before visiting Mwingi Central constituency,” Ngilu said.

The governor accused Mulyungi of playing malicious politics.

Ngilu said time is over for politicians to engage or propagate malicious issues.

She said elected leaders should focus on service delivery for the electorates' best interests.

Ngilu said she will continue with her transformative development agenda across the Kitui County.

She accused certain politicians of fighting her administration through propaganda.

The governor vowed not to be intimidated in her resolve and push to deliver services to the people.

On Sunday, Mulyungi accused Ngilu of planning meetings and visits in his constituency without seeking his permission.

The MP cautioned Ngilu against visiting the constituency without his permission.
