Kitui Governor Ngilu has defended Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka against claims that he is not wiling and not committed on being sworn in as the people's deputy president.
Ngilu says that critics should leave Kalonzo alone, noting that the former Vice President is much willing to be sworn in contrary to media reports.
Speaking at Kitui AIC Township Church on Sunday, Ngilu said that she has hope in Kalonzo, noting that he will not let NASA supporters down.
The Kitui governor asked critics give him (Kalonzo) space as plans and consultations to have him sworn in continues.
“Kalonzo's commitment to NASA reforms agenda cannot be questioned and I personally have belief in him that he will not let the NASA family down,” she said.
Ngilu also defended the Wiper leader against claims that he is secretly communicating with Jubilee.
The Kitui governor said that Kalonzo's absence at Raila Odinga’s inauguration on January 30 should not be used to intimidate and attack his character.
“I think he explained himself to why he skipped the January 30 swearing and he should be given time and chance to take oath as the people’s deputy president without much criticism and mockery,” she added.
Kalonzo has been under criticism with claims that he is not committed to being sworn in as the people’s deputy president.
On Saturday during the burial of Dr Lennon Mwambura in Kikambala, Kilifi County, Kalonzo maintained that he is committed to NASA agenda and that consultations are in place to have him sworn in as the people’s deputy president.
He hit out at the media accusing it of speculation on cracks in the Raila Odinga led Alliance.
The former Vice President said that the perceived cracks in NASA is the creation of the media.
