Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has dismissed claims that she has plans to fire employees of the county who campaigned against during the August general elections.

The Narc Kenya leader assured all the county workers that she is ready to work with them for the sake of developing the area in the next five years following her election.

Ngilu, who dethroned former Governor Julius Malombe, was speaking at the Kenya Forest Research Institute in Kitui town. “We are now going to work together with you. How you felt about me and how I felt about you is neither here nor there,” Ngilu said, as quoted by Star.

The county boss also called upon administrators to support her government when it comes to delivering the promises she made to the people of this part of the world when seeking for the post during the last general elections.

Ngilu also said that she will account for her performance in the next five years upon completion of her term, adding that she needs other leaders to make her dream come true.

“Unless you do something that shows you’ve changed lives, count yourself a failure. Five years from today, I want to show the people the changes I have brought to them,“ said Ngilu.
